Helena, Montana





Arrow Solutions Group is seeking a contract .NET Developer to work in Helena, Montana. You will be focused on translating the business design/requirements, developing the application code, testing, completing data conversion, analyzing and designing databases within an application area, and conducting user training. In addition, responsibilities include maintaining a bug tracking system and records documenting program and revisions.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage, troubleshoot and diagnose software issues
  • Install, create, update, and configure computer programs or software packages
  • Consult with managerial, business subject matter experts, and technical personnel to gather requirements, identify problems, and recommend, create, and implement software changes
  • Schedule and monitor system maintenance
  • Ensure developed code meets agency security protocols and requirements and produce support documentation
  • Modify existing software systems to correct defects, adapt to new hardware or software, improve performance, and meet enhancement requirements
  • Develop and direct software system testing and validation procedures, programming, and documentation
  • Participate in the standards review and set guidelines for application development
  • Resolve customer issues and respond to questions
  • Review and recommend new technologies for the agency

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, or a closely related field
  • 4+ of experience developing .NET applications for the web and complete working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Skilled in C# and Structured Query Language (SQL) programming languages
  • Preferred experience with American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators (AAMVA) technology standards, data elements, message exchange protocols, and coding standards
  • Understanding or hands-on experience in software development, system monitoring, and web technologies
  • Proficiency in conducting tests and inspections of software, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
  • Accomplished in software development utilities, database technology, hardware architecture, and software development lifecycle processes
  • Complex problem solver, multi-tasking and organizational skills with a high attention to detail
  • Ability to effectively communicate with diverse customers, management and stakeholders
  • Must work on-site in Helena, Montana
  • One year contract at the State of Montana
