Arrow Solutions Group is seeking an RPG Developer to work in Fargo, ND. This person will be part of a talented web development team and will be responsible for supporting, troubleshooting, maintaining and upgrading current systems that have been developed on the ISeries Platform using RPG and DB2. Candidates need to have exceptional multi­tasking skills, high attention to detail, and an ability to work efficiently with quick turnarounds. The ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines is required for this position.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain core business applications
  • Troubleshoot and support RPG integrated systems into the company’s core EnterpriseOne ERP system
  • Create test plans, test cases and perform integration and parallel testing of all processes
  • Perform development work on the ISeries AS400 development platform including RPG and DB2
  • Learn current development languages in order to be involved in migrating legacy RPG systems to newer technology standards
  • Plan the business and system requirements development process, determining which requirements are the highest priorities for implementation
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot daily operations, programs and system problems
  • Perform quality control of programs and system changes prior to implementation

Experience / Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science Programming or related field
  • 5+ years of related work experience is preferred
  • Extensive experience working with RPG 4, ILE, and Free
  • Ability to manage a project from beginning to end including project planning, scoping, schedules and budget
  • Experience with complex SQL (Dynamic, Stored Procedures and Triggers)
  • C# programming experience is a plus
  • Experience with DB2 and MS SQL is a bonus
  • Familiarity and experience with ISeries Utilities including Questview, QRY/400, Debuggers, DDS, SEU, DDM, IFS, OPS Navigation, and IBM Rational Developer
  • Ability to work well in a team environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Must work on site in Fargo, ND
  • Will not sponsor applicants for work visas
